The RRS-MOD, a reversing relay/synchronization module, enhances the operation of two- and four-wire i3™ Series detectors with a built-in sounder. This allows all i3 sounder detectors on the loop to sound when one alarms by reversing the polarity to the detector zone—further unifying the emergency signal throughout the building. The module also synchronizes all detectors on the loop to ensure a clear, audible signal. The module can be used with bell/alarm, alarm relay or NAC outputs. Its field-selectable switch accommodates both coded and continuous alarm signals.
