System Sensor Fills Customer Need for Heavy Duty Beam Smoke Detector Mounting Bracket

Heavy Duty Beam Smoke Detector Mounting Bracket St. Charles, IL (July 14, 2009)– System Sensor has released the new 6500-MMK Heavy Duty Mounting Bracket. This bracket allows installers to mount the reflected beam smoke detector transmitter/receiver unit or reflector unit in locations where building movement and vibration are common.

“Our customers requested a mounting option for our beam smoke detectors specifically suited to withstand the movement that occurs in high-vibration areas,” said Todd Alford, System Sensor marketing manager. “At System Sensor, our goal is to continually listen to our customers and develop products that meet their needs. With its heavy-gauge steel construction, this new mounting bracket certainly delivers on that goal.”

Made from 12-gauge stamped steel with locking fasteners, this bracket was designed for the most demanding environments. The bracket allows for both pan and tilt to match the angle required for various applications. It comes equipped with a T-bar that mounts directly to the reflector panel. For mounting to the transmitter/receiver housing, a 6500-SMK (surface-mount kit) back box is required and must be ordered separately.
